The Time Lens or Time Cloak

This little device is quite a large leap in humanity, this allows the user to temporarily pause or stop an event in time, maybe not quite to what you are thinking.  The main research that has been done on this is using the device to bend the temporal space time of light to make it slow down and speed up in certain parts of the beam, but it does not effect the over all beam of light, it basically still looks like a full beam of light although there is a sped up and slowed down section which creates a gap in the middle of the beam.

This can be use for something such as, a laser that sets off an alarm if you walk through it, this device would create a gap that you can pass through but the information for the detector never notices because the beam is still visually there entering the detector.

This has also lead to the development of the cloaking device, which I am sure a lot of you have heard of already.  It made is way into car commercials. (sadly) The quantum stealth blanket, is also a large jump for humanity, I just hope that it gets used properly...
